On November 15, 2016, on the occasion of the 22nd edition of the Salone Orientamenti organized by the Department of Communication, Training and Politics for Youth and Culture of Liguria Region, was presented in Genoa with the collaboration of Edu.Re the first #MTFSatellite event (http://musictechfest.net/genoa/), with meetings and workshops for young people.
Music students chosen from the region created handmade musical instruments, using electric circuits, jelly theremins and recycled paper, and developed new musical technologies using the Arduino / Genuino platform.
MTF founder Michela Magas presented a conference on “Creativity as driver of Innovation” and took part in a Round Table discussing “Innovation, Culture, Entertainment, Creativity: new Professions in Europe”.
Michela has been building ecosystems, ideas and innovation for over 20 years, bringing together the worlds of science and art, design and technology, and academic research and industry. In 2016 Michela was awarded the European Innovation Luminary Award for Creative Innovation and this year she has earned first place in the European Prize for Women Innovators.
